В России заблокируют доступ к 15 европейским СМИ в ответ на санкции ЕС

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated its readiness to cancel the measure if Europe takes a symmetrical step

Russia is restricting access from its territory to the web resources of fifteen European media outlets in response to the new European Union sanctions against eight Russian information resources. The names of the blocked media outlets are not specified. This is stated in an official statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The retaliatory measure was a reaction to the 16th package of EU sanctions, approved in February 2025, under which the European Union imposed sanctions against Russian publications such as «Eurasia Daily», «Fondsk», «Lenta», «News Front», «Rubaltic», «South Front», the Strategic Culture Foundation, and the Federal State Budgetary Institution RIC «Krasnaya Zvezda».

The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasizes that the restriction of access to 15 European media outlets concerns EU member states that, according to the ministry, participated in the dissemination of unreliable information about Russia.

The ministry also stressed that, provided the restrictions on Russian publications are lifted, Moscow is ready to reconsider its retaliatory measures and restore access to European media.
