A two-meter drone for processing agricultural land was shown at the "Kaluga Field Day". This device is capable of spraying plants, applying fertilizers and fighting weeds in hard-to-reach places where a tractor cannot drive.
The dimensions of the drone are about 2.5 meters diagonally, the carrying capacity is up to 70 kg. Controlled flight is possible at a distance of up to 4 km, after which the drone continues to operate in autonomous mode.
The authorities of the Kaluga region are considering the possibility of creating an entire detachment of such drones to improve the efficiency of agriculture. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be used to monitor agricultural land and process crops. The detachment is planned to be created on the basis of a machine-technological station, where operator training will also begin.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Heavy agricultural drone C-80 from "Transport of the Future" was shown at the NAIS forum in Moscow.
