The Armed Forces of Russia have received a new modification of the Geran-2 kamikaze drone. The footage appeared on social networks.
The Telegram channel "Military Informant" suggested that it is about "Geran" drones with an optical guidance system. Basic versions of drones attacked targets using pre-set coordinates.
The drone received a thermal imaging camera and a direct radio control system. This allows using "Geran" as a powerful FPV drone.
The presence of a thermal imaging camera allows the operator to detect heat sources, which ensures accurate target engagement at night and in conditions of smoke or fog.
