Moscow Metro has made the first test payment with a digital ruble to a legal entity. The transaction was made in favor of the company "Mikron Security Printing." This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, Maxim Liksutov.
According to him, on the initiative of the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, testing of digital ruble technology has begun not only for individuals, but also for businesses. Moscow Metro became the first organization in Russia to participate in this experiment.
Liksutov noted that the use of the digital ruble for legal entities will make financial transactions more transparent and reduce the likelihood of errors. Digital currency can be used by both individuals and legal entities, including Mikron Security Printing, a joint venture with JSC "Mikron."
Its testing is carried out in cooperation with the Bank of Russia. In the near future, it is planned to introduce the digital ruble in the transport sector. It will become the third form of national currency, along with cash and non-cash money. The digital ruble will be stored in digital wallets of citizens and used on the platform of the Central Bank.
