Russia Plans to Completely Abandon Foreign Technologies in Oil Production by 2030

Import substitution in the oil and gas sector is already estimated at 500 billion rubles

By 2030, the Russian fuel and energy complex (FEC) will completely switch to domestic equipment, according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

According to him, import substitution is actively underway under sanctions: the volume of oil and gas engineering has already exceeded 500 billion rubles, and it is planned to completely replace critical equipment by 2030.

Also, by this time, Russia intends to significantly increase the production of large-capacity plastics - up to 14 million tons. The modernization of refineries will provide the domestic market with high-quality fuel at affordable prices.

Novak added that in the future, Russia expects not only self-sufficiency, but also the export of integrated solutions in the energy sector - from raw material extraction to the construction of processing facilities abroad.
