The modernized heavy transport aircraft Il-76 is of great interest in the Middle East and East Asia, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov.
The minister noted that the heavy transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A is a deeply modernized Il-76. At the same time, despite the external similarity, it is actually a new aircraft with improved characteristics. For example, it has new engines, avionics, the latest equipment and systems, improved chassis and wing.
The advantages make the machine absolutely unique in the market of heavy ramp transport aircraft and more cost-effective. This will also make it possible to operate the aircraft on all air routes from any international airport.
The head of the department added that more than 100 Il-76TD aircraft and its modifications are currently in commercial operation around the world.
Earlier www1.ru reported that import-substituted spare parts for the SJ-100 will become cheaper, although they used to cost twice as much as for Airbus.
