As part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Sechenov University and Sber signed a cooperation agreement aimed at creating innovative medical solutions. One of the key projects will be the mobile application "ХудеемНаЗдоровье" ("LosingWeightForHealth"), which will use artificial intelligence (AI) for personalized weight loss recommendations.
The application will be based on GigaChat, a large language model from Sber adapted for medical tasks. Sechenov University, which has the largest clinical base in Russia, will act as a scientific expert, and Sber will provide technological development.
According to Sergey Zhdanov, cooperation with Sechenov University is developing, and the new agreement is the next step in developing a mobile application for weight control using artificial intelligence technologies. This is in line with the principles of predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine.
The project is being implemented as part of the strategic initiative "Clinic-Without-Borders", supported by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In addition to the weight control application, the university is developing other AI solutions:
- 3D modeling of operations
- diagnosis of lung diseases
- analysis of histological images
- screening for cardiovascular pathologies
According to experts, more than 40 million Russians suffer from being overweight, which increases the risk of diabetes, hypertension, and other diseases. The application should not only provide recommendations but also motivate users using behavioral analysis.
The launch of "ХудеемНаЗдоровье" ("LosingWeightForHealth") is scheduled for August 2025.
