Shipbuilders at the Otradnoye shipyard in the Leningrad Region have begun sea trials of the crabber "Mechanic Tsuranov" (Project 03070). It was developed by the Petrobalt Design Bureau for the company "Ostrovnoy-crab."
Specialists will check the operation of systems and equipment. The tests will last until June 21.
The crab vessel was launched on August 5, 2024. "Mechanic Tsuranov" will be handed over to the customer by the end of 2025.
It will be operated in the temperate, northern, and southern latitudes of the Pacific Ocean. The vessel is designed for bottom longline crab fishing using conical "Japanese" type traps, followed by sorting and delivery to the shore in tanks.
