Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told about an unusual offer from Yandex. During his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, he said that he was offered to register as a taxi driver and evaluate the work of the digital service.
I recently met with Yandex, and they suggested that I just go in, register, and become a taxi driver as part of the discussion. I said, of course, no problem. The only thing is, I don't have time to drive a taxi.
According to Novak, the registration process in Yandex GO has become much easier thanks to modern technologies. Now, if a person has a driver's license and a medical certificate, he can become a taxi driver in just 15 minutes. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that taxis used to be called through taxi fleets, and now anyone can quickly register on the digital platform.
