Pilots of the fourth-generation Su-34 fighter of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia showed a video of dropping four FAB-500 aerial bombs with universal planning and correction modules (UMPC).
The footage shows that the military rose to a sufficient height and released four aerial bombs from the external suspension. After that, the wings straightened and the aerial bombs flew to the target thanks to the interference-protected Kometa-M module.
The military also began to use modernized aerial bombs with UMPC, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 95 km. Previously, such ammunition overcame up to 80 km, but now their range has significantly increased.
The aerial bombs received reinforced mounting systems, longer wings providing increased range, as well as new control technologies. The carriers of the shells are Su-34, Su-35S and Su-57 fighters.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Tu-160M bomber surpassed the American B-1 Lancer: greater flight range and combat load.
