Отечественный радиолокатор для беспилотников с уникальным алгоритмом компенсации тряски испытала корпорация «Новый космос»

The technology will provide a clear radar image even with vibrations in flight

The private aerospace corporation "New Space" has successfully tested a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) for drones, equipped with a unique image stabilization algorithm.

The developed algorithm compensates for drone vibrations during flight, eliminating frame "shake," which allows for the formation of clear radar images even with strong shaking. Usually, vibrations and displacements make it difficult to accurately match multiple frames, but the innovative technology of "New Space" successfully solves this problem.

The radar, based on space technologies, is capable of "seeing" objects even behind obstacles. The company has already conducted the first tests of the algorithm and plans to present a pre-production model of a drone with such equipment by the end of 2025.

"New Space" cooperates with the Roszapovedcenter of the Ministry of Natural Resources, structures of Rosatom, the Association of Polar Explorers of Russia, and other partners. It is assumed that the technology will find application in monitoring power lines, oil and gas pipelines, ice, and oil spills.
