The "El 6" Group has started industrial production of carbon-containing granules and materials at its plant in Chelyabinsk. The project, worth 145 million rubles, includes the processing of graphitized and carbon-graphite chips using modern technologies. Monthly output is expected to exceed 1.5 thousand tons of carbon materials and 300 tons of granules, with payback expected by the end of 2027.
The enterprise has launched automated lines for sieving, mixing, air separation, as well as stations for filling big bags and molds. Equipment for granulation and ultrasonic sieving will be put into operation in the near future. Unlike the Novosibirsk plant, where production is limited to 200 tons of granules per month, the Chelyabinsk enterprise represents a full processing cycle with the possibility of fractional sieving.
Andrey Kruglov, General Director of "El 6", noted that the new project will allow the disposal of mechanical processing waste from three plants of the group, including enterprises in Novosibirsk and Novocherkassk. The company has already concluded long-term contracts with enterprises in the Urals for the supply of three grades of carbon materials and two types of granules with a carbon content of 95%.
