The Power of Russian Weapons: Kh-35 Missile for Uran-E Modified in Vietnam

The VCM-01 Complex Was Localized Under Russian License in 2023

A new version of the nationally produced anti-ship coastal mobile missile system VCM-B has been demonstrated in Vietnam. The VCM-B complex entered service with the Vietnam People's Army in December 2023.

The system uses VCM-01 anti-ship missiles — a localized, Vietnamese-modified licensed version of the Russian 3M24E (Kh-35) missiles of the Uran-E complex.

In this case, new elongated transport and launch containers for missiles of clearly increased range, probably an analogue of the Kh-35U missiles, are visible.

Technical characteristics of the Kh-35U missile:

  • Maximum range — 260 km
  • Length — 4.4 m
  • Warhead weight — 145 kg
  • Warhead type — penetrating high-explosive
  • Launch weight — 670 kg
  • Wingspan — 1.33 m
  • Speed — 890 km/h

Earlier www1.ru reported that footage appeared of a strategic Kh-101 missile flying with the release of L-504 dipole traps.
