The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have redeployed Tu-160, Tu-95MS, and Tu-22M3 bombers from military airfields in the Irkutsk and Murmansk regions. Satellite images have appeared on social networks.
In particular, Tu-160 bombers are dispersed across airfields in Yelizovo (Kamchatka), Anadyr (Chukotka), and Borisoglebsk (Kazan).
While there are no official comments from the Ministry of Defense, experts suggest that the relocation may be related to an attempt to protect aviation from further attacks.
According to an analysis of satellite images conducted by specialists, seven Tu-160 bombers, previously based at the Belaya airfield in the Irkutsk region, left the base by the middle of last week.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that footage appeared of a strategic Kh-101 missile flying with the release of L-504 dipole traps.
