In May 2025, 7,595 motorcycles were sold in Russia, which is 11% more compared to the same period last year. The cumulative total for the first five months of this year shows an increase of 19%, amounting to 21,283 units. This was announced by the head of "Autostat," Sergei Tselikov.
The motorcycle market in Russia is characterized by pronounced seasonality, and the graph of monthly sales dynamics resembles a saw, with peaks in April and May. This is due to the increased interest in motorcycles during the warm season.
The main growth factor in the motorcycle market has been motorcycles with small engine displacements. Models with a displacement of up to 400 cm³ occupy three-quarters of the entire market. The leader in this segment is the Russian brand Regulmoto, which registered 1,684 motorcycles in May. The company's headquarters are located in the Far East, which also contributes to its popularity.
In the segment of motorcycles with medium engine displacement (400-800 cm³), the brand Voge leads, which sold 264 units in May. Interestingly, the new Chinese brand Zontes, which was not present on the Russian market last year, entered the top 5 of this segment.
Among motorcycles with an engine displacement of over 0.8 liters, BMW remains the leader, selling 147 motorcycles in May. In second place is the legendary Harley-Davidson with 90 units sold.
