The R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil Ships shared information about the new high-speed planing boat "Marlin." The vessel is designed for operation both as a pleasure boat and for official travel and special tasks.

The "Marlin" was created as a platform for developing high speeds on planing vessels. It is equipped with two diesel engines with a capacity of 850 hp each. The drive system uses Arneson-type partially submerged propellers from the company "Morskaya Energetika."

A key engineering feature of the vessel is the patented bottom attachments-longitudinal-transverse steps that reduce hydrodynamic resistance. Thanks to this and the hull's features, the "Marlin" can reach speeds of up to 65 knots (approximately 120 km/h).

The boat is suitable for operation in coastal marine areas and inland waterways. The hull is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum-magnesium alloy. One of the key advantages of the "Marlin" is its stability on the move-the vessel is not subject to the "porpoising" effect, even when moving at high speed in rough conditions.
