Smart Engines AI to Verify Reliability of Freight Transportation Contractors

Russian logistics platform Vezzer uses Smart Engines technologies to accelerate and secure the verification of freight carrier documents

The trade and logistics ecosystem Vezzer.no has announced the implementation of artificial intelligence technology from the Russian company Smart Engines, which specializes in document recognition systems. The new solution allows for the automatic verification of passports, driver's licenses, vehicle registration certificates, and other documents, reducing verification time and enhancing data security.

The Smart ID Engine system recognizes document data in 0.15 seconds on a mobile device and up to 55 documents per second in server solutions. This is made possible by the use of ultra-lightweight 4.6-bit neural networks – a unique development by Smart Engines. A key feature is local data processing: document images are not transferred to third parties, which eliminates the risk of leakage. This is especially important for logistics companies working with the personal data of drivers and clients.

According to Alexander Konyukhov, CEO of Vezzer.no, the integration of Smart Engines allows to:

  • Automate document verification, eliminating the need for carriers to repeatedly upload them for each order.
  • Speed up access to orders, reducing request processing time.
  • Increase the transparency of the service for clients and carriers.
Vezzer.no offers its users in the freight transportation market an advanced service for modern business operations and reduced transaction costs. Therefore, an autonomous document recognition system was a fundamentally important criterion for us when choosing a technological solution. Smart Engines technologies provide the highest level of automatic data entry from printed and handwritten passports and other documents.
Alexander Konyukhov, CEO of Vezzer.no

Smart Engines is a Russian developer of document recognition systems whose technologies are used by Alfa-Bank, VTB, the Federal Tax Service, Russian Railways, and other large companies. Their solutions work offline, making them safe for integration into any IT systems.
