Footage has emerged online showing a low-altitude flight of a strategic Russian air-launched cruise missile of the "air-to-surface" class X-101 for Tu-95MS and Tu-160 bombers.
When and where the video was taken is unknown. The footage captured a modernized version of the Kh-101 with an upgraded optoelectronic guidance system, which began to be used in November 2023 and is called "Product 504AP".
It can be noticed that at some point the missile fired L-504 dipole traps.
Preliminary characteristics of the Kh-101:
- Length - 7.45 m
- Launch weight - up to 2400 kg
- Maximum range - 5500 km
- Accuracy (circular error probable) - up to 20 m
