Specialists from the Siberian Research Institute of Aviation named after S. A. Chaplygin and the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University have proposed using drones with a thermal imager to assess the condition of the aircraft.

According to the authors, the introduction of these methods in service centers and airports will allow for quick and accurate detection of hidden damage and integrity violations of composite materials, which will significantly reduce the duration of maintenance and increase its efficiency.
The creation of a transport platform that meets the above requirements will allow installing any diagnostic equipment on it to solve any problem associated with performing external inspections of ships.
However, the solution to the problem is complicated by strict requirements for compliance with specified flight parameters in the controlled area of the airfield under various lighting conditions, with gusts of wind, radio interference and a cluster of other nearby standing and moving objects.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Tu-160 White Swan bomber and the Soviet Tu-144 will become the basis for a new supersonic Russian airliner.
