A major agricultural machinery manufacturer in Russia, Rostselmash, may have to halt operations if it fails to sell 2,500 tractors and combine harvesters. This was announced by State Duma Vice-Speaker Victoria Abramchenko.
According to her, all possible anti-crisis support measures for the company have already been utilized.
These include postponing the payment of the recycling fee to the end of 2025. This will help Rostselmash retain working capital amid rising credit costs and allocate about 25 billion rubles to production, jobs, and components. The plant also has access to other government support measures.
The conclusions are disappointing: if 2,500 tractors and combine harvesters cannot be sold, the company's employees will have to take unpaid leave. All possible anti-crisis support measures have already been utilized.
Rostselmash's warehouses have accumulated almost three thousand units of machinery – about 700 tractors and 2,200 combine harvesters – which have not found buyers.
