The fifth patrol ship "Viktor Veliky" of Project 22160, built at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard (ZSS), will join the combat structure of the Russian fleet this year. This was announced by the General Director of ZSS, Alexander Filippov.
According to him, "Viktor Veliky" is currently in the Baltic, where it is undergoing all the necessary tests, including state tests.
The transfer of the ship to the fleet will take place in the near future, the exact dates have not been announced, but definitely before the Navy Day, which is celebrated on July 27 this year.
"Viktor Veliky" is the fifth in a series of six ships ordered by the Ministry of Defense for the Black Sea Fleet in 2014. It was laid down on November 25, 2016, and launched on May 7, 2024, at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard, which is building the entire series.
The ship is equipped with advanced radar equipment "Fregat-M2EM, information from which is transmitted to the combat information post.
