Новую РЛС «Родник 3D» создали для военных, но она неспособна заметить небольшие дроны

The complex's antenna post can be raised to a height of 30 m

The new Rodnik 3D radar station has been developed in Belarus. The high-tech complex is capable of automatically detecting, tracking, and analyzing any airborne objects, even in conditions of interference.

The Rodnik 3D has two range modes: up to 20 km for low-visibility targets (drones, cruise missiles), and up to 60 km for large airborne objects.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the new product is not adapted to detect drones with an effective scattering area (ESA) of 0.01 - 0.05 sq. m and complex ballistic targets diving at angles of more than 60 degrees. The fact is that the angular sector of the Rodnik 3D review varies from 0 to 45 degrees.

Nevertheless, the system is capable of detecting and tying target tracks with an effective reflecting surface of 0.005 - 0.01 sq. m at a distance of 12 - 17 km.

Also, the antenna post of the Rodnik 3D can be raised to a height of up to 30 m using the Unzha universal mast to work on ultra-low-altitude targets over the forest landscape of Belarus and the European part of Russia.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Dan-M decoy drones with a jet engine have been developed in Russia: they will leave air defense in the dark.
