Glide bombs spread their wings: FAB aerial bombs with UMPC increase range to almost 100 km

Aircraft can avoid entering the air defense zone and engage targets from a distance

Russian military forces have begun using modernized aerial bombs with unified planning and correction modules (UMPC), capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 95 km.

Previously, such munitions could travel 60–80 kilometers, but now their range has significantly increased.

Aerial bombs have received reinforced mounting systems, new control technologies, and longer wings, providing increased range.

At the same time, bombings are still carried out from a height of about 9000 meters, and the speed of the ammunition is up to 700–800 km/h.
