Two new lawsuits were filed in the Moscow Arbitration Court in late May against JSC "Voentorg" by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The head of the organization, Vladimir Pavlov, is currently in pre-trial detention, accused of embezzling 400 million rubles.
The total amount of claims for the two new lawsuits amounted to 134 thousand 481 rubles. There are no other details on these cases.
As a reminder, in July 2024, law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case of fraud on a particularly large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the execution of state contracts for the needs of the Russian army.
On August 1, Vladimir Pavlov and the former general director of "Voentorg-Retail" (a subsidiary of JSC "Voentorg"), Timur Isakov, were arrested. Later, three more defendants were arrested in the criminal case.
