The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has completed the process of type approval of membranes for liquefied gas storage systems. They will be installed on gas carriers, which will be important for the domestic shipbuilding industry.
In the process of approval, the membranes underwent multiple tests, including fatigue tests. The devices withstood more than 2 million deformation cycles.
RS specialists confirmed that the membranes meet the requirements of the RS Rules and the GTT company specification for the Mark III type membrane, which is considered to be one of the global standards in this area. After successful completion of all procedures, the products received an RS Type Approval Certificate (СТО).
The membranes are produced at JSC "NPP "Compensator" in St. Petersburg. The company became the first in Russia to establish the production of such elements. RS specialists noted the high level of technology and production culture. The products meet the most stringent standards.
