Russia may face problems in the production of the S-70 "Okhotnik" reconnaissance drone for the Su-57 fighter. This was reported by journalist Chris Osborne.
In his opinion, the impossibility of mass production, as well as the degree of stealth of the aircraft, is a cause for concern.
Although, of course, even a small number will likely pose a real threat, Russia may not be able to scale production of this drone quickly.
The author added that not enough is known about how stealthy the S-70 "Okhotnik" can be considered, which is capable of carrying missile and bomb weapons both in the internal compartment and on external hardpoints.
However, the issue of stealth is much more than meets the eye, as low visibility also depends on coating materials, thermal signature, exhaust gas output, and engine placement.
The "Okhotnik" strike UAV is a development of the Sukhoi Design Bureau. Its length is 14 m, wingspan is 19 meters, take-off weight is more than 20 tons. The drone was developed according to the "flying wing" scheme, and materials are used in its manufacture to reduce radar signature.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest 9M134 "Bulat" missile will increase the ammunition load of the ATGM by four times.
