On Monday, an An-24 turboprop aircraft of the "Angara" airline, en route from Irkutsk to Kirensk, rolled off the runway during landing at Kirensk airport.

The East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office noted that the plane's nose gear collapsed, after which the plane rolled off the runway.

There were no casualties. The causes of the incident are being investigated. Passengers were evacuated, the supervisory authority noted. The Prosecutor's Office has organized an inspection of compliance with legislation on flight safety.

An-24 is a Soviet passenger and military transport aircraft designed to carry up to 52 passengers over distances of up to 1850 km. The engines are 2 TVD AI-24, An-24RV and An-24RT variants are also equipped with APU RU-19A-300. The first flight of the prototype An-24 USSR-L1959 took place on October 29, 1959.
