5.6 Billion Ruble Lawsuit: Tupolev Seeks Amicable Agreement with Tatneft

Case Hearing Postponed to June 25, 2025

The Tupolev Design Bureau is planning to sign a settlement agreement with the Tatneft oil company in a case involving 5.6 billion rubles. The lawsuit was filed against Tupolev and its entities, including the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant.

We ask for a postponement. The amount is quite significant, so we hope to find a compromise solution.

The Aviation Bureau asked the court to postpone the hearing to resolve the issue peacefully. The court granted the request and postponed the hearing to the beginning of February. If the parties do not reach an agreement, a corresponding response must be sent by January 29.

Tatneft's lawsuit against Tupolev was accepted in November, but the essence of the claim was not disclosed. At the same time, the authorities of the republic reported several years ago that the Kazan Aviation Plant was supposed to supply four Tu-214 aircraft to a local customer. Last year, it became known that these aircraft were intended for the UVT Aero airline, but plans for their delivery were not announced this year.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rosaviatsia extended the service life of emergency slide components for the Tu-214 without the participation of a foreign manufacturer.
