Russian military personnel have found a new use for the GShG-7.62 aircraft four-barrel machine gun. It was attached to a car and sent to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), footage appeared on social networks.
The pictures show an aircraft machine gun in the back of a car. The tuned GShG was placed on a homemade machine. The machine gun is equipped with a thermal imaging sight with a display, allowing the shooter to hit targets at any time of the day.
The GShG-7.62 was adopted in 1979. It was originally developed for the Mi-24 helicopter. The maximum rate of fire of a machine gun with a rotating block of four barrels is 6000 rounds per minute. The maximum firing range is 1000 meters.
