The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation "Amurskaya" (KRDV Amurskaya) and JSC "Baikal-Amur Mining Corporation" (BAGK) have entered into a cooperation agreement to create a new production facility for titanium electrodes. The plant will be built at the "Rovnoe" site of the Amurskaya priority development area (PDA), located in the Blagoveshchensk district.
We will use high-quality ilmenite to produce electrodes. The products will be used in all significant and major construction projects, at factories in the Amur Region. Our plans include providing high-quality electrodes to the entire Far East.
Raw materials for the new plant will be supplied from the Olekma mine, which resumed operations in the Tynda district in 2023. The Baikal-Amur Mining Corporation has restored and modernized the enterprise and started mining. Production volumes of iron ore and ilmenite concentrate exceed one million tons per year.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that new factories and technology parks will be built in the Sverdlovsk Region.
