BMP-3 That Raised Questions to be Sent to "Remote Work": Control to Become Remote

The "Prometheus" Software and Hardware Complex Has Been Tested at the Ministry of Defense Training Grounds

The "Prometheus" software and hardware complex designed for automating armored vehicles has been tested at the Ministry of Defense training grounds and received positive feedback from specialists. The tests were conducted on the basis of a serial BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle.

During the testing, the system confirmed all the key technical characteristics and functional capabilities of the complex. "Prometheus" is now preparing for the stage of state tests.

The complex is designed for remote control of armored vehicles and can be installed on any serial models of military and civilian equipment.

It allows you to quickly switch between crewed and remote control modes, while maintaining the functionality of the crew members' workplaces and ergonomics.

The BMP-3 is designed to provide fire support and transport soldiers. The vehicle accommodates three crew members and seven paratroopers. The BMP-3's arsenal includes a 30 mm automatic cannon, a 2A70 100 mm gun-launcher, and three machine guns. At the same time, experts note that all the advantages of the vehicle are negated by too weak armor.
