Innovations encompass search and rescue systems, radio photonics, 3D scanning, and eco-friendly technologies

The X All-Russian Forum of Young Scientists, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs U-NOVUS is taking place in Tomsk from May 21 to 24, bringing together over 1,000 participants from 30 regions of Russia and about 150 experts. One of the key events was an exhibition of developments from universities, partners, and the inter-university startup studio of the city of Tomsk.

Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) presented a number of innovative solutions at the exhibition. Among them is a hardware and software complex for searching for people in the forest, using unmanned aerial vehicles and a portable base station, allowing to detect lost people even outside the cellular coverage area. The development is focused on the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, search and rescue services.

Another significant development is micro- and optoelectronic circuits for radio photonic systems, created in collaboration with JSC "NPF "Mikran". These solutions are applicable in telecommunications, satellite technologies, and industrial robotics, which corresponds to the development priorities of AFC "Sistema".

A number of developments in the field of materials science and digital technologies were also presented. Among them are pigments and coatings for spacecraft, providing resistance to extreme conditions.

The mobile application "Let's Discuss?" was presented, designed for psychological support and prevention of emotional burnout, including in the corporate environment.

The innovative 3D body scanning technology "LeamScan" allows you to create digital twins of a person using a smartphone or laptop. The development is relevant for virtual fitting of clothes, medical diagnostics, and personalized fitness tracking.

In addition, TUSUR presented the "Eywa" automatic station for plant care. The device provides watering and regulates air humidity by means of fogging, combining an environmentally friendly approach and elements of a smart home.
