Deputies from the "New People" faction propose creating a service in the "Gosuslugi" system for voluntary subscription to notifications about upcoming magnetic storms. It is planned to send information to citizens in the form of push notifications, SMS, or emails.
Access to the service will be provided through a personal account. It is proposed to obtain information about geomagnetic activity from open sources, including the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Solar Astronomy Laboratory.
The authors of the initiative believe that this mechanism will help weather-sensitive citizens take preventive measures in advance.
According to the Ministry of Health and the Russian Academy of Sciences, people with cardiovascular, bronchopulmonary, and psycho-emotional disorders react sharply to periods of geomagnetic activity.
The appeal states that strong magnetic storms were already recorded in January and April 2025, but there is no centralized information mechanism in Russia.
The proposal does not require changes in federal legislation and can be implemented through the existing infrastructure of the Ministry of Digital Development.
