Лучше, чем у Boeing 737 и Airbus A320: крыло МС-21 построили с применением новой инфузионной технологии

The latest development has great prospects

A composite wing for the MC-21 airliner was built using a new infusion technology. This was announced by the scientific director of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI, part of the N.E. Zhukovsky Institute Research Center), Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Sergei Chernyshev.

МС-21

According to him, the wing is a very complex unit, which largely determines the aerodynamic efficiency of the entire aircraft.

And for the MC-21, the wing is also one of the factors ensuring competitiveness. The wing of this large size is not only mainly made of composite material, but also using a new infusion technology. For the first time in the history of aircraft construction! Without going into technical details, I will say: this latest technology has great prospects.
Sergei Chernyshev, Academician

He noted that the "black wing" for the MC-21 has an unprecedentedly large elongation. The typical wing elongation for machines of the past generation is about 8-9, for modern ones - 10-10.5. But on the MC-21 it is - 11.5.

This directly affects aerodynamics. Therefore, the new Russian aircraft has noticeably better aerodynamics than its closest competitors - the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

Earlier www1.ru reported that work on the Baikal aircraft has reached a dead end: it will never see the light of day.
