Belarusian-Russian marriage bears fruit: Osvey aircraft enters the stage of development work

At the XII International Arms Exhibition MILEX-2025, the Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus, Dmitry Pantus, announced progress in the creation of the light multipurpose aircraft "Osvey". The project, developed jointly by Belarus and Russia, has entered the active phase of development work. In parallel, Belarus is forming a production base for the future production of aircraft.

The Russian JSC "Ural Civil Aviation Plant" and the Belarusian 558 Aircraft Repair Plant are working on the "Osvey" project. In addition to aircraft construction, the parties are developing cooperation in the field of unmanned systems and radio electronics. "Osvey" is positioned as a universal aircraft for civil and special tasks. Its design involves the use of modern composite materials and digital control systems, which will increase fuel efficiency and reliability. According to Pantus, the integration of Russian and Belarusian technologies allows optimizing production chains.
