Запуск ракеты «Союз-2.1а» с кораблем «Прогресс МС-31» запланирован на июль 2025 года

Space truck tested in anechoic chamber, pneumatic vacuum tests ahead

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-31 transport cargo ship is scheduled for July 2025, Roscosmos reported.

At the Baikonur site, preparations are underway for the spacecraft's flight under the 92nd mission program to support the International Space Station. As part of these efforts, specialists completed testing of the ship in the anechoic chamber of the assembly and test building at the technical complex of site 254. There, they also checked the operation of the radio equipment of the rendezvous and docking system.

After completing the testing, Progress MS-31 was returned to the maintenance area for the next stage — pneumatic vacuum tests.

The anechoic chamber used during the tests is equipped with a special radio-absorbing coating. These conditions allow for an accurate assessment of the operability of onboard radio systems before flight.

The tests confirm the readiness of the ship's key systems for launch. This is critical for successful docking with the orbital station and completing all tasks for delivering cargo to the ISS.
