Обнаружит подводные лодки и мины врага: безэкипажный катер «Водяной» представили МО РФ

The development will be used to control the waters of the Baltic Sea

The universal unmanned boat (BEC) "Vodyanoy" was presented at the Baltic Higher Naval School named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov. The novelty was demonstrated at the Innovation Day of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The "Vodyanoy" platform is assembled from separate compartments. This allows you to change its configuration depending on the tasks.

Two options have been developed — one with a hull length of 2.5 meters and a lifting capacity of up to 40 kg, and the other is a compact version with a length of 1.4 meters with a payload of up to 6.5 kg.

Depending on the configuration, the platform can be equipped with a hydroacoustic antenna for searching for submarines and saboteurs, mini-devices for demining, or a transport compartment for delivering goods.

In the configuration with a towed hydroacoustic antenna, this small device can detect a submarine. In addition, it can be used to search for mines, which is especially important in our time. And the remotely controlled underwater vehicles with which the platform can be equipped are used on our minesweepers, and they have proven their effectiveness.
