Lancet loitering munitions and Orlan unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be used by the military to solve the tasks of the Russian Navy. This was reported by Denis Fedutinov, an expert in the field of unmanned systems.
As for aviation systems, we will certainly see Orlan reconnaissance unmanned systems, widely used in the Ground Forces, as well as Lancet loitering munitions and unmanned reconnaissance equipment working with them in a complex, as part of the Navy.
In addition to them, the fleet can also expand the use of Forpost and heavier Inokhodets vehicles. However, the niche of helicopter-type drones remains unfilled, Fedutinov pointed out.
Russian developers offer unmanned boats Orkan, Vizir-700 and Katran, capable of interacting with aircraft. It is expected that this segment will receive an impetus for rapid development due to increased interest from the military leadership.
Another promising area, Fedutinov noted, remains uninhabited underwater vehicles, which are still poorly represented in the arsenal of the Navy. An exception is small-sized strategic-class systems, such as the modular Aurora vehicles, which were demonstrated at specialized exhibitions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the characteristics of the ZA-SpN Titan armored vehicle shown at the parade in Moscow became known.
