Specialists from RTU MIREA have presented software for automated calculation of heat exchange processes in bioreactors. The development is designed to help students and engineers more accurately design equipment used in biotechnology.
Heat exchangers play a key role in bioreactors, maintaining the optimal temperature for microorganisms, which directly affects production efficiency. The new program allows you to quickly calculate the temperature difference, the amount of heat transferred, and the required heat exchange area.
Our software simplifies complex engineering calculations, making the learning process more visual.
Currently, commercial CAD systems (ANSYS, COMSOL, SolidWorks Flow Simulation) are most often used for such calculations, requiring expensive licenses and lengthy training, or homemade solutions based on MATLAB/Excel, which are difficult to configure. The RTU MIREA development occupies an intermediate position, offering an accessible but accurate tool for educational and engineering tasks.
The program is important for the biotechnological and pharmaceutical industries, where accurate heat exchange calculations are critical. It is already being implemented in the university's educational process and can be used in the design of real production facilities.
