The «Dialog-Tekhnika» factory has created a pneumatic tank for a water fire extinguishing system. It will be installed on the passenger ship «Karelia» project 00840. The vessel is being built by shipbuilders at the «Krasnoye Sormovo» plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
«Karelia» is a project of a four-deck passenger vessel that can travel both on rivers and at sea. This vessel has a unique design that has no analogues in the river fleet. The project was developed by the «Vympel» design bureau.
The company «Vodokhod» ordered the construction of three vessels. They will be built as part of the state program for the renewal of the river fleet.
Modern four-deck vessels capable of operating both on rivers and in the open sea will be used in the Caspian, Black, Azov, Baltic and White Seas. They will be able to call at the Solovetsky Islands, as well as the Gulf of Finland and the inland waterways of Russia.
The liners are equipped with full-rotation rudder propellers, which ensures high maneuverability. They are also equipped with automated control systems and offer amenities comparable to five-star hotels.
The first cruise liner of the «Karelia» project will be launched in 2025.
