Regiments of unmanned systems will be formed in all units of the Russian Navy (VMF). The new units will include robotic systems operating in different environments: ground and air drones, underwater unmanned vehicles, and unmanned boats.
The units will perform both strike and reconnaissance tasks, destroy enemy drones and mines, and protect Russian ships.
Military expert Dmitry Boltenkov noted that the created regiments will likely become part of the formed unmanned systems troops and become the basis of their naval component.
They will be equipped with various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, including "Orlans", "Forposts", and "Lancets", as well as unmanned boats capable of performing reconnaissance, mine countermeasures, and strike missions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest drone interceptor was developed in Russia using "Kompas-3D".
