Ban on taxis in areas where stopping is prohibited proposed in Russia

Deputy Butskaya: people deliberately call taxis to such areas to punish drivers

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family and Childhood Issues Tatyana Butskaya appealed to the management of Yandex Taxi with a request to introduce an automatic ban on calling a taxi in areas where "No Stopping" signs are installed. The deputy explained that she receives numerous complaints from drivers who face problems due to calls in such places.

In her letter, Butskaya proposed creating a function that would block the possibility of calling a taxi in areas with prohibited stops. The deputy also proposed visually marking such places on application maps, for example, in red. Such a measure will help to avoid misunderstandings and simplify the workflow for drivers.

According to the deputy, many passengers deliberately call a taxi to the "No Stopping" signs in order to then report a violation of traffic rules. As a result, drivers receive negative feedback. Butskaya believes that the proposed measures will help improve the situation and protect the interests of taxi drivers.
