The production of eight gas turbines of the GTE-170, GTE-65 and GTD-110M types is planned to be established in Russia by the end of 2025. The production of medium and high power gas turbines, solar and wind generators, and energy storage devices will also be localized by 2050, according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
For the stable operation of the industry, it is necessary to ensure that the power industry's demand for domestically produced GTUs is met. Already in 2025, the production of up to 8 units of GTE-170/GTE-65 and up to 2 units of GTD-110M is planned. In the period 2027-2029, the implementation of 4 projects for the modernization of thermal power plants for 1605 MW using 3 GTD-110M, 4 GTE-170 and 2 GTE-65 is planned.
Novak specified that by 2050 it is planned to put into operation about 45 GW of new and modernized generating capacities, mainly using gas turbine units of domestic production.
The production of medium and high power gas turbines, solar and wind generators, energy storage devices and key automation will be fully localized. The total share of domestic technologies and equipment in the electric power industry will reach 90%.
At the end of November 2024, Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Evgeny Grabchak stated that Russia plans to build about 50-60 domestic gas turbines with a capacity of 7 GW by 2029 inclusive, and also to master the mass production of gas turbines.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia is increasing its energy capacity with an emphasis on the construction of nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric power plants and renewable energy sources.
