Off-road vehicle production will begin in Naberezhnye Chelny

The large Chinese pickup Dongfeng Mengshi MS600, based on the Hummer H1 platform, is preparing to enter the Russian market. The model was presented by Blazar at an exhibition in Kazan, timed to coincide with Victory Day. The pickup is equipped with a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine with a capacity of 314 hp with a torque of 1050 N·m, which makes it one of the most powerful in its class.

Technical characteristics include a 6-speed automatic transmission, permanent all-wheel drive, a low range, and a center differential lock. A ground clearance of 340 mm and independent spring suspension provide high cross-country ability. In China, the model has been produced since 2022, and in Russia it will be adapted to local standards.

The first deliveries will begin with imported versions, and localized production is planned at the Remdiesel plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. The company has already registered a patent for a modified design. The estimated price in China is about 95,000 dollars, but the final cost for the Russian market has not yet been announced. Dongfeng Mengshi MS600 may be of interest to both commercial customers and off-road enthusiasts. Its main competitors are the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Ford F-150.
