AvtoVAZ has established new maintenance rules for Lada Vesta and Lada Iskra cars with a 6-speed WLY manual transmission of Chinese production.
The first oil change will be required at 4,500–5,500 km, and then every 45,000 km. This approach is very different from the previous regulations, when transmission fluid was filled for the entire service life of the unit on models with Russian gearboxes.
The manufacturer also confirmed the need to undergo a zero maintenance for Vesta with Chinese units. For owners, this threatens new expenses against the backdrop of rising prices for Lada.
The same WLY gearboxes will mainly be installed on the new Lada Iskra, and versions with domestic "mechanics" and an 8-valve engine will be produced in the minority.
