Reactive Speed: Grad MLRS Crews Reduce Time for Pinpoint Salvo to 7 Minutes

The system is designed to destroy fortifications and heavy armored vehicles

Crews of the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) have reduced the preparation time for a salvo to seven minutes. This was announced by the combat vehicle commander with the call sign "Kozyr".

According to him, the crew receives target coordinates from reconnaissance drones. Thanks to this, a minimum number of ammunition is spent on destruction.

It usually takes us up to seven minutes to take a position and fire a salvo. We have already destroyed several foreign-made self-propelled artillery units.

A rare modification of the Grad multiple launch rocket system from the Tula NPO Splav was spotted on the front line. This is the lightweight 9K55 Grad-1 modification, which entered service in 1976 and was produced in a series of 500 units, compared to 8,500 units of the standard 9K51 Grad MLRS.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest counter-battery radar based on the Tigr-M armored vehicle has been developed in Russia.
