Two new fourth-generation Su-34 fighter-bombers, undergoing testing before being transferred to the Ministry of Defense, took part in the air parade in Novosibirsk in honor of Victory Day. The Chkalov Aviation Plant, which serially produces these front-line bombers, is located here.
The unusual yellow color of the "canards" is noteworthy. Su-34s in combat units of the Russian Aerospace Forces are usually presented in white and blue. It is likely that the new machines have not yet passed the painting stage.
According to preliminary estimates, the production rate of the Su-34M is currently about 30 units per year. If this dynamic continues, by 2030 the total fleet of these aircraft in the Russian army may reach 300 aircraft.
This volume indicates the increasing role of modern strike aviation complexes and the systematic increase in production capacity as part of the rearmament of the Aerospace Forces.
The Su-34M combines high maneuverability, improved electronic warfare systems and an expanded arsenal of weapons, making it a key element in ensuring air superiority.
