T-26 — is a Soviet light tank. The most numerous tank of the Red Army and Finnish Army by the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the Army of the Spanish Republic during the Spanish Civil War, the second largest in terms of production after the T-34 Soviet tank of the 1930s — 1940s.
The tank was created on the basis of the British tank Vickers Mk E (also known as "Vickers 6-ton"), purchased in 1930. Adopted into service in the USSR in 1931.
