Belligerent "Svarog": unique fiber optic drones with a range of 30 km developed in Russia

The new UAVs use a redundant communication channel system to maintain control of the drone in the event of a cable break

The Russian military has begun testing new fiber optic drones "Svarog-15", "Svarog truck" and "Dobrynya Nikitich" for operation at a distance of up to 30 km. The devices use redundant communication channels to switch to radio control in case of fiber optic breakage, said Oleg Fedorov, General Director of the Frobotics Advanced Development Engineering Center.

Another innovation is that the drones use a redundant communication channel system, which allows automatic switching to radio control in the event of a fiber optic break, which happens quite often.

According to Fedorov, the products operate on fiber optic coils of domestic and foreign manufacturers for use at distances of 20 and 30 km.

We have already created a line of drones on domestic components "Krechet", now we are transferring other models to Russian components.

In addition, the military began to supply Svarog cargo drones with a payload of up to 14 kg and Svarog with a payload of up to 30 kg, which operate without the use of GPS and solve supply problems.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov showed a model of the latest KUB-2-E strike drone at the exhibition.
