Roscosmos and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) are in negotiations regarding the application of Russian technologies in the Indian National Orbital Station (Bhartiya Antariksh Station, BAS) project.
The head of the state corporation, Dmitry Bakanov, confirmed that negotiations with Indian partners are already underway.
And we are in negotiations, including with Indian partners, to help them with their orbital station using our technologies.
The Indian space station BAS project includes five modules — basic, main (nodal), scientific, laboratory, and general-purpose. The first module is planned for launch in 2028, and the full deployment of the station in orbit is scheduled for 2035.
Cooperation between Russia and India in the space sector could open up new opportunities for both countries. Combining efforts will help accelerate the development of the Indian space program and strengthen the positions of both countries in space exploration.
